INTERVIEW WITH LOCAL Resident Jim Turano

The Best Horse won the race period. This is by far the worse call by the Stewards in History. Twenty minutes of waiting for a decision? Nobody else was even close to Maximum Security. The fact that the track was sloppy, dangerous, often many times horse bear out because of weight, size, and conditions of the Track. To the trainer, jockey, and staff of this unbeaten horse, I am saddened by this outcome. I didn't have a dime on the horse, so let me be clear.

The owners lose the big purse. The owner get hurt for breeding rights. The trainer did his job with this horse and didn't deserve this result. The jockey doesn't get his rightful pay and reward. The fans of this horse, all trainers, and owners better make enough of noise to get rid of that woman steward who made the call. During the wait, being shown on T.V. you could see the two men with the woman steward pace back and forth and near the end they walked out of the room leaving this woman steward to continue watching replays like she was so unsure that she had to watch it for a full 20 minutes before making her call. A Black eye to the industry, the Racetrack, the fans, Trainers, and owners of horses.

Did the so called horse that was impeded come within inches at the wire, NO!

Was any other horse close at the finish, NO!

A disgrace.

Sorry for the owners and Trainer SERVIS AND HIS STAFF
