For almost 25 years now I have observed and experienced the actual traffic congestion each and every morning in the Middle Village, New York area with the rest of the residents. The two significant days that cause extra stress, and traffic is on Monday mornings and thursday mornings. That is when sanitation must pick up the garbage between 7a.m. and 7:30a.m..
This is also when the school buses come to pick up the children of the community to take them to school. Try and get three blocks to 80 street, and expect to wait, and wait until the trucks of sanitation move.
Do not get me wrong, we need the sanitation and their trucks to pick up the garbage, But even though my kids are adults now, do you think by now with new supervisors at sanitation, that they could either pick up 30 minutes before that crunch time, or 45 minutes after that crunch time. Does anyone care? The results would be a much better traffic flow for the school buses, the children, and those that have to get to work on time.
Is this to difficult to resolve? Is to costly for sanitation? Or does not one individual complain about these past 25 years.
Why must it be this way? Or smooth traffic flow!
Next their is people going door to door saying they want to test your water. If you google this you will find out it is a scam. Never let anyone in your home period.
